Q - Who is Fresenius Medical Care?

Q - Will I still be able to travel while I am on dialysis?
A - Yes. If you are on in-center hemodialysis, visit our facility locator to find the closest facility to your destination. If you are on PD or Home hemodialysis, check with your social worker to determine the best option for getting your treatment while you are away from home.
Q - What treatment options does Fresenius offer?
A - Fresenius Medical Care is able to offer patients a full range of treatment options. In addition to in-center hemodialysis and home peritoneal dialysis, Fresenius offers home hemodialysis, home nocturnal dialysis, and in-center nocturnal dialysis in various locations throughout the U.S. We also support kidney transplantation as a treatment option.
Q - How does my treatment schedule work?
A - You have a lot of choices on in-center hemodialysis. Most of our facilities offer the following schedules:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
- By appointment
- Evening (after 5pm)
- Overnight in-center

Q - How long should my treatment be?
A - Your doctor prescribes the length of your treatment based on your lab results and how you feel. We make sure that you dialyze just as long as your doctor thinks you need to. That way you can feel your best.
