Living Life to the Fullest: On Stage and Off

Fresenius Medical Care patient Andrew Stasny loves spending his free time with his wife, pictured above, and family.

Andrew Stasny, a 77-year-old dialysis patient, keeps busy by helping others and spreading happiness through his work as an amateur actor and community volunteer. He lives in Dagsboro, Del., and receives in-center hemodialysis at Fresenius Medical Care Mid-Sussex.

Andrew is a big believer in giving back to the community. He regularly volunteers at a local hospital in the cardiac rehabilitation area, because he has had first hand experience as a cardiac patient himself.

Andrew is also involved with the Possum Point Players, a community acting group that performs shows at local theatres. As part of another acting group, Andrew performs live radio shows, complete with old radio program scripts and commercials, for local nursing homes and other venues.

Andrew loves spending his free time with his wife, two daughters and son. For him, happiness means family, community involvement and living life to the fullest.
