Treatment Options Program
Learning all you can about your treatment options helps you to make the right decisions for your health. Fresenius Medical Care's Treatment Options Program classes (TOPs) are educational sessions offered free of charge to patients and their family members.
At Fresenius Medical Care's Treatment Options sessions, you can:
- Learn the benefits and limitations of all the available treatment options, so that you can work with your doctor to decide which is best for you.
- Ask a healthcare professional questions about kidney health and treatments for all stages of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
- Discover what other resources, information, and support are available to you and your family.
Every TOPs session is conducted by an expert in kidney care who will review with you and your family all the options available for renal replacement therapy: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, treatment location (in-center or at home), and kidney transplant.
